The Government of Anguilla is advancing plans for a five-year national digital transformation initiative aimed at modernising public services and improving how residents interact with government.

Information Technology Minister Jose Vanterpool said the administration is laying the groundwork for a long-term digital transformation strategy, making the initiative one of the government's key policy priorities.

The programme is expected to focus on strengthening digital government systems and improving service delivery, with technology playing a larger role in government operations.

The move comes as Anguilla continues efforts to modernise its public sector. Earlier this year, the government also launched a five-year roadmap focused on governance, public-service efficiency and modernisation.

The digital transformation plan could reshape how residents access government services, while helping agencies improve efficiency and coordination.

The initiative is also significant politically because it places digital government and public-sector reform among the administration's longer-term priorities.
