BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — Artificial intelligence is moving further into Barbados' technology landscape as a new training initiative highlights how AI tools could help entrepreneurs access digital capabilities that were once costly or difficult for small businesses to obtain.

A new programme involving the National Organisation of Women and an AI capability firm is offering training to participants on how artificial intelligence can be used to develop and strengthen viable businesses. The initiative was announced on September 1, 2026.

Supporters of the programme say AI can provide entrepreneurs with a more affordable way to handle tasks that might otherwise require additional staff or specialised external services.
