BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — A new business development programme is opening opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Barbados by offering free training in artificial intelligence and modern business tools.

The initiative, launched through NOW in partnership with an AI-focused company, is expected to provide up to 35 women with training designed to help them develop viable businesses and strengthen their entrepreneurial skills.

The programme comes at a time when artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important for small businesses, particularly in areas such as marketing, customer communication, business planning, content creation and productivity.

For women entrepreneurs, access to AI training could help reduce some of the barriers associated with launching and managing a modern business, while giving participants new tools to compete in an increasingly digital marketplace.

The initiative also highlights the growing connection between technology and entrepreneurship in Barbados, as more businesses explore how AI can support innovation and improve efficiency.
