SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Puerto Rico has unveiled a new technology initiative focused on creating a Quantum Computing and AI Research Campus that will support scientific research, advanced software development, cybersecurity innovation, and high-tech entrepreneurship.
Government officials, universities, technology firms, research organizations, and innovation partners announced collaborative programs promoting quantum computing research, artificial intelligence applications, machine learning, cloud computing, and next-generation cybersecurity technologies.
Officials emphasized that investing in emerging technologies is essential for building a competitive digital economy, attracting global investment, and creating highly skilled technology careers.
The new campus will feature AI laboratories, quantum computing research facilities, startup accelerators, software engineering centers, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity testing environments, and innovation incubators for technology entrepreneurs.
