Students at Grenada Christian Academy are set to benefit from improved access to computer technology after Republic Bank donated 13 desktop computers to the school in Pearls, St. Andrew.

The donation, announced on October 15, 2026, forms part of Republic Bank’s Power to Make a Difference community programme. The equipment is intended to strengthen the school’s technology resources and give its approximately 130 students greater access to digital learning tools.

The donation includes Dell OptiPlex 7080 desktop computers, 19-inch monitors, keyboards and mice. The computers will support the school’s library resources and provide students with additional opportunities to conduct research, develop digital skills and access computer-based learning.

Mc Kie Griffith, Manager of Retail Services for Republic Bank’s Grenville Cluster, said access to technology has become an important part of modern education. Grenada Christian Academy Principal Eversley George welcomed the additional equipment and expressed appreciation for the bank’s support.

Access to computers can help students build familiarity with digital tools used in education and the workplace. The donation also highlights how businesses and community organisations can support technology access in schools without requiring every institution to purchase new equipment.

By extending the useful life of existing computers, the initiative combines digital inclusion with practical reuse of technology. Its long-term value will depend on how the school integrates the equipment into lessons, research and students’ everyday learning.
