Small businesses in Grenada’s fisheries, marine-tourism and waste-management sectors are being urged to prepare for a final opportunity to seek grant funding through a regional business-support programme.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), through its Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, will launch the third and final call for Window 1 of the Regional MSME Matching Grants Programme during an online session on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10 a.m.

The programme supports eligible businesses seeking to improve productivity, strengthen operations, invest in equipment and become more competitive. It covers micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in fisheries, marine and coastal tourism, and waste management across Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

To qualify, a business must be registered and operating in one of the participating countries, have operated for at least two years, maintain a business bank account, employ no more than 50 people and have annual revenue of no more than EC$1 million. Applicants must also supply the required registration and financial documents.

The programme has already supported businesses in Grenada. Fisherman Renrich Bethel, owner of the fishing vessel Rachee Bee, used previous grant assistance to acquire safety and operational equipment, including life rafts, marine tracking technology, an ice machine and a water maker.

The upcoming session will explain the call, eligibility requirements, application process and available support. Women-owned and women-led businesses are especially encouraged to participate.

For Grenadian entrepreneurs looking to upgrade equipment, improve safety or expand their services, the final call could provide an important route to investment and growth. Business owners can contact the programme team at for further information.
