The U.S. Virgin Islands continues to make its mark on the Caribbean entertainment calendar as the 2026 St. John Celebration brings together major international stars, regional performers and homegrown Virgin Islands talent.

The celebration’s music programme featured an impressive lineup including Grammy-winning singer Ashanti, Kes the Band, Tarrus Riley, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, alongside performers from the USVI and wider Caribbean.

The festival, held around the traditional July 4 celebrations, combined live music, cultural showcases, community gatherings and heritage celebrations, reinforcing St. John’s role as an important cultural destination.

Organisers said the programme was designed to highlight both international talent and performers from the Virgin Islands, creating opportunities for local artists to share the stage with established Caribbean and global acts.

The growing mix of local and international entertainment is giving the USVI greater visibility within the Caribbean music and festival industry, while also creating a stronger platform for Virgin Islands artists.

With music, culture and tourism closely connected, major festivals such as St. John Celebration remain an important part of the territory’s entertainment identity.
