PÉTION-VILLE, Haiti — Haiti’s emerging music scene is getting a new spotlight as the 20th edition of PAPJAZZ launches its Scène Découvertes program, dedicated to young and rising Haitian artists.

The first showcase is scheduled for September 10 at the Centre Culturel Caraïbes in Pétion-Ville, featuring Family Groove Band, Kerwine Gilles, Playerz and Steph Le Sauvage.

The initiative received more than 40 applications for four showcase sessions scheduled between September and December. Selected performers receive a professional platform to present their music, with opportunities for media exposure, performance recordings and connections with industry professionals.

Each selected act gets 20 minutes on stage, while audiences and a jury will choose a “Coup de cœur” performer at each session. The four winners will later receive a place at the 20th PAPJAZZ edition scheduled for January 2027.

The program is positioning PAPJAZZ as an important pathway for new Haitian musical talent, giving emerging performers greater visibility while connecting them with producers, programmers, media and audiences.
