DAJABÓN, Dominican Republic — A fugitive who had escaped from Najayo prison was killed during a security operation in the northern border province of Dajabón, according to reports published on September 10.
The man, identified by local media as Dargenis de Jesús, was reportedly wanted in connection with serious criminal allegations, including kidnapping and homicide. Authorities tracked him to Dajabón, where the operation ended in his death.
