GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands — Local comedy is preparing to take centre stage as the popular Caymanian production Wha Happening returns for its fourth season this month.

The production opens on September 18 at the Harquail Theatre and runs through October 4, offering audiences a series of performances built around Caymanian humour, familiar characters and everyday island experiences.

Written and directed by Matt Brown, the show has become a popular part of Cayman’s local entertainment scene. Organisers say the new season will feature fresh sketches and plenty of humour inspired by life in the Cayman Islands.

Performances are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, giving residents and visitors several opportunities to attend.

The return of Wha Happening highlights the strength of Cayman’s homegrown performing-arts scene, while providing a platform for local creative talent and Caymanian storytelling.

The production will also travel to Cayman Brac on October 10, extending the comedy experience beyond Grand Cayman.

With its combination of local characters, cultural references and comedy, Wha Happening Season 4 is expected to become one of the notable entertainment attractions on Cayman’s September and October calendar.
