The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is preparing for the implementation of a new Tax Information Management System (TIMS), with staff receiving targeted customer-service training ahead of the transition.

The training, held on September 24, 2026, is designed to help IRD officers handle changes to tax processes and improve communication with taxpayers as the new system is introduced.

The initiative is expected to change how taxpayers interact with the department, making staff preparation an important part of the transition. The Centre for Enterprise Development delivered the training, facilitated by business consultant Gaidell Andrews.

For businesses across SVG, the new system could mean changes in tax administration procedures and taxpayer services, making awareness of the upcoming transition particularly relevant for entrepreneurs and companies.
