Officials emphasized that sustained investment in sports development is essential for nurturing future champions, promoting healthier lifestyles, and increasing Guadeloupe's presence in regional and international competitions.
The initiative supports athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, cycling, sailing, martial arts, tennis, and community sports through structured development pathways and expanded grassroots participation.
Sports federations welcomed the strategy, highlighting the importance of sports science, nutrition programs, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and mental performance coaching in improving athlete performance.
