Grenada’s technology sector is gaining international attention as Island Innovators has been named a finalist in the Digital Inclusion category of the Digital@UNGA Awards 2026.

The Grenada-founded innovation organisation was selected among a competitive pool of more than 1,500 submissions and is being recognised during the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York. The recognition highlights efforts to advance digital transformation and expand opportunities linked to technology across the Caribbean.

Island Innovators is also supporting Grenada’s CARICOM Youth Ambassador, Joshua Andall, who participated in international youth discussions on artificial intelligence and global governance.

The organisation said the recognition reflects an opportunity for Grenadian and Caribbean technology professionals to contribute to global discussions about AI, digital infrastructure and innovation. Its recent Digital and Tech Leadership Assembly also brought together technology and business leaders from Grenada, Barbados, Saint Lucia and the United States to discuss practical digital innovation.
