WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao — Curaçao has launched a new Blue Finance and Maritime Innovation Hub designed to accelerate investment in financial technology, maritime services, digital logistics, and sustainable ocean-based industries.

Government officials, financial institutions, shipping companies, technology firms, port authorities, and international investment partners announced collaborative programmes supporting fintech innovation, smart shipping solutions, marine logistics, sustainable port development, and digital trade infrastructure.

The hub will feature fintech incubators, digital payment research centres, smart port technology laboratories, AI-powered logistics systems, marine business accelerators, investment advisory services, and innovation workspaces connecting entrepreneurs with global partners.

Economic analysts welcomed the initiative, noting that stronger maritime and financial services can diversify national income, increase exports, and reinforce Curaçao's role as a regional commercial gateway.
