The Cayman Islands is preparing for Tech Futures Week 2026, a five-day technology programme focused on artificial intelligence, digital skills, cybersecurity, innovation and the future of work.

The event runs from October 5 to 9 and is being delivered through a partnership involving Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC), Enterprise Cayman and Cayman Enterprise City.

This year's theme, “The AI Advantage,” is designed to move discussions about artificial intelligence toward practical applications for Cayman’s businesses, workforce, education system and entrepreneurs.

A new feature for 2026 is the Tech Futures Innovation Summit on October 6 at the Harquail Theatre and Studio Theatre. The summit will examine AI applications in business operations, financial services, entrepreneurship and workforce development, while also connecting emerging Cayman-based ventures with investors and service providers.

The programme will also include a CyberSandbox, an AI recruitment and talent-development focus group, an online AI prompting workshop and discussions about AI governance and technology risks. Education-focused sessions will examine how schools and training institutions can prepare students for an increasingly AI-enabled economy.

All Tech Futures Week programming is free, although advance registration is required for several sessions because of limited capacity.

The programme puts artificial intelligence and digital skills at the centre of Cayman’s technology and workforce-development conversation.
