The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority (HSA) has introduced a new specialist orthodontic service, giving residents access to orthodontic treatment through the public healthcare system.

The service, launched on October 1, provides braces, clear aligners and other advanced orthodontic treatments for patients of different ages. HSA said the programme is designed to make treatment for teeth and jaw alignment more accessible within the Cayman Islands.

Patients will receive individualised treatment plans supported by HSA’s wider dental services, which include implantology, periodontics, oral medicine, endodontics and maxillofacial surgery. Orthodontic treatment can address problems involving tooth alignment, jaw position and bite function.

The new service adds another specialist discipline to HSA’s public dental offering and allows patients to access multiple areas of dental care through the same healthcare provider.

The announcement comes as Cayman’s public health system continues expanding specialist services. HSA is also rolling out the 2026/27 seasonal influenza vaccination programme, with vaccination sessions available at the Anthony S. Eden Hospital, district health centres and participating community locations.

The new orthodontic programme gives Cayman residents another specialist healthcare option without requiring them to seek orthodontic services outside the public healthcare system.
