GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands — A Cayman Islands physician has denied allegations of culpable negligence connected to the death of a gunshot victim, as the serious case continues before the courts.

The physician, Dr Paul Anthony Taiganides, 62, was working with the Health Services Authority when he treated 29-year-old Travis Alexander Ebanks, who had suffered a gunshot injury.

According to the latest court reporting, Ebanks died approximately 35 minutes after arriving at the hospital’s emergency department. Dr Taiganides is accused of manslaughter in connection with the death, allegations he has denied.
