Air Services Limited (ASL) is set to construct Guyana’s first Fixed-Base Operator facility, expanding the country’s aviation infrastructure as demand for business and corporate air travel grows.

The planned FBO will provide VIP passenger services, concierge facilities, aircraft ground handling, refuelling and flight dispatching, along with specialised maintenance and engineering support for corporate aircraft.

The project forms part of a wider ASL expansion programme. The company says it has added seven new aircraft over the past two years and increased daily flight schedules by as much as 30 per cent.

ASL also expects its expansion to create approximately 150 new jobs while supporting training for Guyanese pilots and aircraft mechanics. The company is also preparing for future regional charter services as international and business travel demand increases.
