THE VALLEY, Anguilla — Anguilla is taking another step into digital tourism with the launch of the Xcape Destination App, a new technology platform designed to give visitors and residents a smarter way to discover the island.

The app was unveiled by the Anguilla Tourist Board alongside its 2026 summer campaign and combines artificial intelligence, GPS-based navigation, voice guidance and live recommendations in a platform built specifically around the Anguilla experience.

The technology allows users to discover beaches, restaurants, entertainment venues and other attractions based on their location, providing digital information and navigation tools in one platform.

Developers Wilson Jno Baptiste and Gavin Jean demonstrated features including precise location coordinates, photographs, ratings, nearby attractions and weather-related guidance.

Unlike standard map services that can sometimes provide inaccurate location pins, the platform is designed to provide more precise navigation across Anguilla's roads and destinations.

The application is also intended for residents, giving locals a digital tool to rediscover businesses, attractions and experiences available across the island.

The launch highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence and location-based technology in Anguilla's tourism sector, while creating opportunities for local businesses to gain greater digital visibility.

The initiative forms part of the Tourist Board's broader “Taste, Feel, Live” summer campaign, which seeks to position the island as an active and culturally rich destination beyond its traditional tourism image.

The Xcape platform could also provide a foundation for further digital tourism services as Anguilla expands its technology ecosystem and promotes smarter visitor experiences.
