THE VALLEY, Anguilla — Anguilla has introduced a national sports development initiative focused on creating a High-Performance Athletics Academy that will provide advanced coaching, sports science support, and modern training facilities for athletes across multiple disciplines.

Sports authorities announced investments in athletics training tracks, performance laboratories, strength and conditioning facilities, sports medicine services, digital performance analysis systems, and athlete recovery centres.

Officials emphasized that investing in elite athlete development will strengthen Anguilla's sporting competitiveness while inspiring greater youth participation in organized sports and healthy lifestyles.

The academy will support athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, swimming, tennis, cycling, and other community sports through structured talent identification and athlete development programs.
