KINGSTOWN, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has officially launched the National High Performance Sports Academy, a modern training facility designed to enhance athlete development, improve coaching standards, and prepare competitors for regional and international sporting events.
Government officials, national sporting associations, coaches, sports scientists, educators, healthcare professionals, and youth organizations introduced the academy featuring AI-powered performance analytics, biomechanics laboratories, recovery centres, nutrition services, and professional coaching programmes.
Officials emphasized that investing in modern sports infrastructure will strengthen youth development, improve athletic performance, and expand opportunities for Vincentian athletes to compete internationally.
The academy supports football, cricket, athletics, basketball, volleyball, swimming, cycling, netball, and other competitive sports through personalized training plans, injury prevention programmes, sports psychology services, and advanced fitness assessments.

Educational institutions also announced partnerships supporting sports science education, coaching certification, athlete scholarships, and leadership development through youth sports programmes.
Community organizations welcomed expanded grassroots sports initiatives expected to identify future elite athletes while encouraging healthy lifestyles across the nation's communities.
