BRADES, Montserrat — The Government of Montserrat is moving ahead with its long-term national planning agenda after completing a series of public consultations on the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS) and National Development Plan (NDP).

The government held consultations from July 13–17, 2026, inviting residents, stakeholders and members of the Montserratian diaspora to contribute their views on the island’s future development priorities.

Officials have thanked participants for contributing to the process, with the feedback expected to help shape the next stage of national policy planning.

The consultation process places public participation at the centre of discussions about Montserrat’s economic, social, environmental and institutional future.

The NDP and SDS are expected to provide a longer-term framework for government priorities and development programmes across the island.
