SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — ProDominicana has opened applications for “Sumando Exportadoras,” a new initiative designed to help women-led and women-owned small and medium-sized businesses enter international markets.
The program is targeting Dominican MSMEs with at least 25% female ownership or female leadership, including businesses that have not previously exported or are preparing a new export product. Eligible companies must also have at least one year of commercial activity and productive facilities.
Three selected companies will receive specialized export-readiness support, including technical market analysis, assistance identifying potential international buyers, export training, professional product promotion and support for trade fairs and international business missions.
ProDominicana says the initiative is intended to strengthen the internationalization of Dominican women entrepreneurs and help more local businesses connect with overseas markets.
Applications are scheduled to close October 27, with beneficiaries expected to be announced November 20.
