ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands — The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is mourning the death of Sergeant Calvin Cockburn, who died after sustaining injuries in a recent traffic accident in his native St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Cockburn was reportedly on leave when the accident occurred. He later succumbed to his injuries, according to a report published by BVI News on September 16, 2026.
During his service with the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Cockburn worked in several areas, including the Criminal Investigations Department, Major Incident Team and Beat & Patrol.
