THE VALLEY, Anguilla — Anguilla is celebrating Constitution Day 2026 today with the Grand Parade of Troupes, bringing the island's communities together for one of the most anticipated events of the Anguilla Summer Festival.

The parade is taking place through The Valley on Friday, August 7, with costumed troupes, music, dancing and cultural performances forming the centrepiece of the day's celebrations.

The event marks Constitution Day and serves as a major cultural showcase for Anguilla, with troupes representing communities from across the island participating in the colourful street celebration.

The 2026 Summer Festival is being held under the theme “Igniting the Future: A Festival Reimagined,” combining Anguilla's traditional carnival celebrations with a renewed emphasis on creativity, community and cultural expression.

Festival organizers say the celebration brings together Anguillians at home and abroad, along with visitors, to experience the island's music, heritage, pageantry and community spirit.

The Grand Parade is among the final major events of this year's festival, with the Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch and Splash III following before the festival concludes on August 9.

Today's celebrations are expected to provide a major boost for local vendors, performers, tourism businesses and cultural entrepreneurs as residents and visitors gather in The Valley.

The event highlights Anguilla's continuing commitment to preserving its cultural traditions while presenting its vibrant heritage to an international audience.
