BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — Barbados is preparing to host the Caribbean Investment Forum 2026, a major regional business event designed to connect investors with projects seeking capital.

Caribbean Export has launched the fifth edition of the forum, which will take place in Bridgetown from October 5–7 and showcase 30 bankable investment opportunities valued at approximately US$172 million.

The forum could give Barbados a major boost as a regional centre for investment and business development.

The event is being organised by Caribbean Export in partnership with the Barbados Government and the European Union.

Its focus is shifting beyond simply promoting investment toward helping businesses become more prepared to attract financing and deliver commercially viable projects.

For Barbados, hosting the forum puts Bridgetown at the centre of a regional effort to mobilise private capital.

The projects are expected to create opportunities across multiple areas of the Caribbean economy, potentially attracting investors interested in growth sectors and commercially viable ventures.

The initiative also reflects a broader regional push to strengthen investment readiness and improve the ability of Caribbean businesses to secure international financing.

Greater access to investment capital could support business expansion, job creation and new private-sector opportunities across the region.

With the forum scheduled for October, businesses and investors now have several months to prepare for discussions and potential deals.

The event could make Barbados an important meeting point for Caribbean entrepreneurs, investors and development partners in 2026.
