ST. JOHN'S, Antigua and Barbuda — Antigua and Barbuda is strengthening its digital-security capabilities through participation in a regional Women in CyberTech training programme designed to develop advanced cybersecurity skills.

The Her CyberTracks programme is scheduled for August 17–21, 2026, at the LAC4 Centre in Santo Domingo, bringing together 17 aspiring female cybersecurity professionals from countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Antigua and Barbuda.

The programme provides hands-on training in cyber incident response, open-source intelligence, cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics and malware analysis.

For Antigua and Barbuda, the initiative comes as the country continues building stronger national cybersecurity capacity and expanding cooperation with regional and international technology partners.

The training also supports the development of a larger pool of skilled technology professionals capable of responding to increasingly sophisticated digital threats.

Antigua and Barbuda has been working with LAC4 on digital resilience and cybersecurity, including the launch of a Cyber Hygiene Platform earlier in 2026.

Greater participation by women in cybersecurity could also help expand the island's technology workforce while creating new opportunities in digital forensics, cyber defence and information security.

The programme is funded by Germany and the European Union and is being implemented with regional and international partners including GIZ, the International Telecommunication Union and LAC4.

The latest development highlights Antigua and Barbuda's growing focus on cybersecurity skills, digital resilience and the development of technology professionals able to support the country's increasingly connected economy.
