Anguilla’s business community is preparing for a potential winter tourism boost as expanded air connectivity is set to give the island stronger links with major North American markets.

New service from Toronto Pearson International Airport is scheduled to begin in December 2026, while additional flights from U.S. markets are also planned for the winter season. The expanded schedule is expected to make Anguilla more accessible to travelers during one of the Caribbean destination’s busiest periods.

The development could provide opportunities for hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, tour operators and retail businesses, particularly as visitor traffic increases during the peak winter travel period.

For local entrepreneurs, greater air access can also help strengthen demand for services beyond accommodation, including excursions, luxury experiences, food and beverage, and other tourism-related activities.

The new connections come as Anguilla continues to position itself as a premium Caribbean destination. Improved air access is particularly important for a small island economy where tourism plays a central role in business activity.

With the 2026–27 winter season approaching, businesses are now looking toward increased visitor arrivals and stronger international connectivity as potential drivers of revenue and employment.

The expanded flight network could become an important catalyst for Anguilla’s tourism economy, connecting local businesses with customers from both Canada and the United States.
