GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands — Cayman Islands basketball has recorded another major regional achievement after its U23 3×3 national teams completed the Caribbean Cup campaign with five medals.

Following two gold medals in Stop 1, Cayman returned for Stop 2 and added two silver medals and a bronze, giving the territory an impressive overall haul of two gold, two silver and one bronze.

The results underline the rapid development of Cayman’s 3×3 basketball programme and its growing presence in regional competition.

Both the Cayman men’s and women’s teams entered Stop 2 as defending champions after undefeated performances in the opening tournament.

The teams again showed strong form during the second stop, going unbeaten through the round-robin stage and reaching their respective championship games.
